About the Event

The CMU Donut Dash is an epic race around the perimeter of the university benefiting the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC ( Over the last three years, CMU Donut Dash has raised $17,500 in donations, thanks to our strong-stomached runners and generous sponsors.

Participants run one mile to the donut distribution location where they then quickly eat Krispy Kreme donuts. Those in the casual division (the majority of competitors) eat as few or as many donuts as they can before running another mile to the finish line. However, the truly competitive must finish twelve donuts, individually or as a team of 3.

After the race, prizes will be awarded to the top finishers, in addition to a raffle with a wide array of prizes. All proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. So register today and stuff yourself with donuts for the children of UPMC!
